Dispensary General Manager, NorCal Cannabis Company


About

In this role as General Manager for retail operations, you will oversee day to day operations for our Southern California dispensaries. You will foster a culture of teamwork and camaraderie, with communication being at the forefront of teambuilding. You will coordinate the details of daily operations, working closely with the Director of Retail Operations. You will oversee security, reporting and cash management procedures related to opening and closing of the dispensary as well as the scheduling of employees and overseeing payroll responsibilities. This role is located in Southern California and will require 20-30% travel. You will potentially be spending weeks in each location, onboarding staff to understand NorCal Cannabis’ retail operations processes and policies with the support of human resources and other key staff within NorCal Cannabis. Meet or exceed sales goals, profitability, and operational excellence Exceeding the client's expectations by delivering exceptional service in our retail location, eCommerce platform, and delivery channels. Drive client visit goals and increase the number of returning clients Analyze, forecast, and deliver financial and operational reporting regularly Identify under performing metrics and develop strategies for improvement Clear knowledge and understanding of cannabis regulations Promoting an environment and culture that is focused on positive and healthy interactions Effectively communicate and delegate goals, tasks, and responsibilities to the team to ensure a smooth operational flow. Monitors and manages staffing, scheduling, operations, processes, etc. Implements HR policies and standard operating procedures Encourages and promotes a teamwork environment while empowering a self-managing team Monitor and manages inventory, product placement, store presentations and work with marketing to raise awareness and increase sales Oversees and implements sell programs, sell-through rates knowledgeable of all POS system functions /ERP systems Strategically utilizing the tools provided to successfully capture clients buying habits to ensure the best in class experience for clients Implement systems of checks and balances in areas vulnerable to loss Promotes and implements sales strategies What we are looking for 2+ years of management experience in a cannabis dispensary 5 years of retail management Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not a must Able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends when necessary Strong desire to work at a successful and culturally invigorating company Excellent communication skills Inventory management experience preferred but not a must High energy with a hit of hustle Self-starter and very organized What we bring to the table Our co-workers are a close-knit, intelligent, and motivated team.
